  • Alberto García-Moreno has more than 17 years of strategy and hands-on implementation experience in telecom and media, with specific expertise steering smaller players to outmaneuver larger rivals.

  • In 2011-13, Alberto advised telecom and media clients on key strategic concerns.

  • Alberto led the strategic renewal of a European incumbent operator, diagnosing its challenges and developing a back-to-growth plan.

  • He developed a turnaround plan for a loss-making alternative telecom technology player to radically reverse its strategy and restore profitability.

  • He designed a profitable growth path in the B2B market for a challenger operator.

  • He also advised private equity funds on several telecom and media acquisitions.

  • In 2006-10, Alberto led the commercial teams in E-Plus and BASE to fuel growth via differentiated propositions, creative partnerships, alternative channels and completely redesigned economics. Revenues grew by >€1 billion with >40% EBITDA.

  • In 2005, Alberto implemented the challenger strategy in E-Plus, a German operator, and worked on the program to reinvent the company in the coming years.

  • From 2002 to 2005, Alberto worked on the program to transform BASE in Belgium from near-bankruptcy to doubling of revenues and an EBITDA of 40%, via a radical challenger strategy.

  • Prior to his work in telecom, Alberto was a startup founder, a strategy consultant and an economic analyst in the Mexican Ministry of Development.

  • He studied his MBA in INSEAD, Economics in the ITAM (México), and in Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.  Alberto is comfortable working in Spanish, English, French, Dutch and German.
